Klondike solitaire
Build four piles from ace to king, one for each suit. Every deal here has been checked by a solver, so you can always win.
How to play Klondike solitaire
How to play
Move cards between the seven columns, building down in alternating colours: a red 6 on a black 7. Move a card or a run of face-up cards by dragging it, or tap it and then tap where it should go. Only a king can go into an empty column.
Stock and foundations
Tap the stock to turn over one card (Draw 1) or three (Draw 3). You can go through the stock as often as you like. Double-tap a card to send it to its foundation. Build each foundation up by suit, from ace to king.
Tips
Turn over hidden cards early, especially in the long columns on the right. Keep an empty column for a king that frees something useful, and don't rush low cards to the foundations if you still need them to build on.
Winnable deals
Each deal comes from a bank of deals that a computer solver has played to the end, so a win is always possible. Once every card is face up, the game finishes itself.
Questions
Can every Klondike solitaire game be won?
No, some random deals cannot be won, however well you play. That's why every deal here, including the daily deal, has first been played through by a solver and confirmed winnable.
What is the difference between Draw 1 and Draw 3?
In Draw 1 you turn over one stock card at a time, so every card is easy to reach. In Draw 3 you turn over three and can only play the top one, which makes it harder to reach the card you need.
How many times can I go through the stock?
As often as you like, in both Draw 1 and Draw 3. Tap the empty stock to turn the waste back over.
What does the hint do?
It looks for a useful legal move and highlights it with a short reason, such as turning over a hidden card. When the solver can still finish the game from your position, the hint says so.
Can I undo moves?
Yes, as many as you like, right back to the start of the deal.
