Nonograms
The numbers tell you how many squares in a row or column are filled, in order. Fill the right ones and a picture appears.
How to play Nonograms
How to play
Each number is a block of filled squares in that row or column, in order from left to right or top to bottom, with at least one blank square between blocks. Tap a square to fill it, or drag across a row or column to fill several in one stroke.
Marking blanks
Switch to Mark empty, or right-click with a mouse, to put a cross on squares you know stay blank. Crosses are only notes for you; the puzzle is solved when the filled squares match the picture.
Tips
Start with big numbers: a 7 in a row of 10 always covers the middle four squares. Greyed-out numbers are finished. A number turns red when the row or column can no longer fit its clue.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move, Space fills, X marks empty, Backspace clears, M switches between fill and mark, and Ctrl+Z undoes. Hold Shift with an arrow key to paint as you move.
Questions
Does every nonogram here have exactly one solution?
Yes. Every picture was checked by a solver that only uses row-by-row and column-by-column logic, so you never have to guess, and a second independent check confirms there is exactly one answer.
What is a nonogram?
A nonogram is a picture logic puzzle, also known as paint by numbers, griddler or hanjie. Number clues on each row and column describe the blocks of filled squares, and solving them reveals a picture.
How does the hint work?
A hint fills in one square that logic forces and tells you which row or column clue proves it. If any squares do not match the picture, the hint clears them first.
How do I play the bigger grids on a phone?
Use the zoom buttons above the grid or pinch with two fingers. Drag the number strips or use two fingers to move around; the small preview in the corner shows where you are.
Is there a daily nonogram?
Yes. Every day there is a new 10×10 picture that is the same for everyone. Solved pictures are collected in your album on this device.
