How to play Pipes

How to play

Tap a tile to turn it a quarter turn (Shift-click turns it back). Water flows from the well through every pipe that lines up. Long-press or right-click to pin a tile you are sure about.

Start at the edges

A pipe can never point off the board, so corner and edge tiles often have only one possible turn. Begin there and work inwards.

Plants never face each other

Two plants pointing at each other would form a tiny network the well can never reach. That rules out many turns.

No loops

All tiles form one branching network without circles. If two pipes are already joined, never connect them a second way.

Questions

Does every garden have one solution?

Yes. Every garden was checked twice: a logic solver reaches the solution without guessing, and a separate brute-force search confirms there is exactly one.

What does the hint do?

The first press highlights a tile that can be worked out from what is already settled and explains the reason. Press again and it turns that tile for you and pins it.

Is there a new pipes puzzle every day?

Yes. The daily garden changes at midnight UTC and is the same for everyone.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. Click the board, then use the arrow keys to move, Space or Enter to turn a tile, Shift with Space to turn it back and P to pin it.
