Sliding blocks
Slide the crates and logs out of the way, then roll the pink wheelbarrow out through the gate. Can you match the fewest possible moves?
How to play Sliding blocks
How to play
Drag a block along its length: crates and logs only slide the way they point, and they stop when they meet another block. Clear the row in front of the gate, then roll the wheelbarrow out on the right.
Counting moves
Sliding one block any distance in one go counts as one move. Every puzzle shows the fewest moves possible, worked out by checking every position the yard can reach.
Klotski
In Klotski the blocks slide in any direction. Bring the big flower cart down to the gate at the bottom.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move the selected block (the wheelbarrow to start with). Space picks the next block and Shift+Space the previous one. You can also tap a block, then tap an empty square in line with it.
Questions
Is every sliding block puzzle here solvable?
Yes. Each puzzle was generated by exploring every position its blocks can reach, so it always has a solution and the fewest-moves number is exact.
What does the hint show?
It points to the next move on a shortest route from where you are now, and tells you how many moves are left after it. Your own route never has to match the start.
How are the levels different?
By the fewest moves needed: easy puzzles take 5 to 9 moves, medium 10 to 17, hard 18 to 26 and expert 27 or more.
Is this the same as Rush Hour?
It is the same classic sliding block idea that many puzzles use, with our own garden shed theme and our own generated puzzles.
Is there a daily puzzle?
Yes. A new medium puzzle every day, the same for everyone.
