Anagrams
Past dailiesRearrange the scrambled letters into a word. Every word that uses all the letters counts. Ten words make a round, with no timer to rush you.
How to play Anagrams
How to play
Tap the letter tiles in order to spell a word, or just type it. Tap a placed letter to take it back, or press Backspace. When every letter is used, the word is checked: if it is a real word, you score and the next word appears.
Scoring
Each word scores 10 points per letter, so a 6 letter word is worth 60. Every letter a hint gives you is worth nothing, and a skipped word scores 0. Time does not count.
Tips
Look for common endings and beginnings such as -ING, -ER, -LY, RE- or UN-, and try putting consonant pairs like TH, CH or ST together. Shuffle (or press Space) to see the letters in a new order.
Daily round
The daily round mixes words of 5 to 8 letters and is the same for everyone, so you can compare scores with friends.
Questions
What if I find a different word with the same letters?
It counts. Any word in our accepted word list that uses every letter scores the same as the word we had in mind, and after you solve it you see the other answers too.
What does the hint do?
It places the next letter of the word for you. Hint letters score nothing, so a word solved with two hints is worth 20 points less.
Is there a timer?
No. The score only depends on how many letters you solved yourself. The clock is shown for your own interest.
Where do the words come from?
The words to solve are familiar English words from a list of common words, without plurals, past tenses or unpleasant words. Guesses are checked against a much larger list. Word lists: SCOWL and ENABLE.
